At Calvary Chapel Fellowship we are committed to our mission of glorifying God through the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
[Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”]
[Matthew 22:37-38 “Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.”]
We believe there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—co-equal in power and glory. This triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things.
Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Hebrews 9:14
We believe in God the Father—an infinite, personal Spirit—perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He is mercifully engaged in the affairs of humanity, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 102:27; John 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17
We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe in His sinless life, His miracles and teachings, His substitutionary and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven, His
continual intercession for His people, and His personal and visible return to Earth.
Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; John 1:1–2; John 8:58; John 11:25; Mark 16:19; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 1:8; Revelation 1:8
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, sent forth from the Father through the Son, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Christ for life and ministry.
Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8–11; Romans 15:13–16; Hebrews 9:14
We believe that God created mankind—male and female—in his own image and likeness, to glorify Himself and enjoy His fellowship.
Genesis 1:26–27; Isaiah 43:6; Psalm 16:11
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and therefore under condemnation.
Genesis 3:1–6; Romans 3:10–19; 6:23; Ephesians 2:1–3
We believe that salvation comes only by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus, to all who repent and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ’s death on the cross which was the sole and complete payment for sins, fully satisfying God’s righteous wrath. At salvation, each person is made a new creation by the Holy Spirit, declared righteous before God, and secured as an adopted child of God forever.
John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Peter 3:18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 8:29–30; Ephesians 1:3–14;
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation upon which this church stands and the authority by which it is governed.
Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:9; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23–25; 2 Peter 1:21
We believe in the Church—the living, spiritual Body of Christ—of which He is the Head, and all born-again believers are members. The Scriptures command believers to gather locally in order to devote themselves to worship, prayer, fellowship, and the teaching of God’s Word.
1 Corinthians 12:12–13; Ephesians 4:15–16; Hebrews 10:24–25
These convictions guide everything that we do.
The Bible is Gods holy and living Word. It contains all we need for life and Godliness. And it is through the Bible that God speaks to us today. So it demands to be the focal point of the church gathering. It also demands to be understood and taught in its context. It is our conviction that the teaching of Gods Word be expository.
Worship through music can be an emotional practice, and we believe that's a good thing. But the spotlight must be on God. He must be the center of our worship, it should never be on ourselves. It is our conviction that every song we sing should center on God.
The regular gathering of the saints should be an encouraging and spiritual community. And unity within that fellowship is a priority. It is our conviction that our fellowship should be united.
We believe in the power of prayer, both individually and corporately. It is our conviction that prayer is a vital part of the church and believers lives.
The Great Commission is to go and make disciples, part of how we do that is to be a light in our community shining the love of Jesus. It is our conviction that we are to be the Light of Columbia County.
